    The objective of this research was to determine how octagonal labeling on food products relates to health promotion among residents of the Mi Perú district. A questionnaire was applied to a sample of 376 people who accessed social media. Results: 96% of respondents were aware of the topic of octagonal labeling, and 90.6% understood that they were warnings. 57.26% stopped consuming a product after reading the octagonal label. Additionally, 93.3% reported being concerned about their health, and 92.2% stated that the labeling had a positive influence on disease prevention. Conclusion: People understand the meaning of octagonal labeling, considering them warnings placed on packaging to prevent future diseases. Despite a consistent consumption of these products, only a minimal percentage reported doing so every day. Furthermore, respondents were concerned about a healthy diet, and more than half stopped consuming a product after reading the label.
