    Video game addiction and aggressiveness in secondary school students of a Public Educational Institution, Huancavelica-Peru, 2023

    With the objective of understanding the relationship between video game addiction and aggression in secondary school students from a public school in Huancavelica-Peru, 2023, the study followed the hypothetico-deductive method, quantitative approach, correlational level, and non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 297 adolescents, aged 12 to 17, who were assessed using the HAMM-1ST Video Game Addiction Scale and the Aggression Questionnaire-AQ. Statistical analysis showed a moderate and significant positive correlation between video game addiction and aggression (rho = 0.448; p < 0.01), indicating that students with higher video game addiction levels are more likely to exhibit aggressive behavior.
