For this reason, this research was carried out in order to establish the correlation between knowledge and the management of peripheral venous catheterization by nurses in the emergency service of an oncology clinic, given that in the study place it is common to observe an increase in patients who require the creation of a peripheral venous catheter, despite this, it has been seen that many of the nurses did not use gloves since it caused a loss of tactile sensitivity, or adequate guidelines for the management of catheterization are not established. peripheral venous, especially due to lack of knowledge of indicators. This work is applied, correlational and transversal, in which 66 professionals working in the emergency service of a cancer center in Lima in 2021 were included. The technique is survey and observation. And the instrument will be made up of 20 questions validated by Aquise obtaining a value of 0.860 and the second instrument will be a checklist validated by Flores achieving a Kuder Richardson coefficient of 0.89. The correlation analysis will be estimated using non-parametric Spearman's Rho tests.
