    Objective: To evaluate the relationship between the level of knowledge about arterial hypertension and therapeutic adherence in hypertensive patients treated at the outpatient clinic of the Uldarico Rocca Fernández Health Center, Villa El Salvador, Lima, 2022. Methodology: The study followed a quantitative approach, cross-sectional correlational design, and applied type. A survey was applied to hypertensive patients to evaluate their knowledge and adherence to treatment. Results: The research identified that a higher level of knowledge about arterial hypertension is significantly associated with greater therapeutic adherence. Patients with adequate knowledge demonstrated a higher percentage of adherence compared to those with limited knowledge. Conclusion: The findings underline the importance of educational strategies in improving treatment adherence among hypertensive patients.
