    Socioeconomic and health factors associated with the abandonment of breastfeeding in the hospital's rooming-in service, Huanuco 2023

    The abandonment of breastfeeding is a practice that is increasingly increasing, harming the comprehensive education of infants and is mainly due to social, economic and maternal health factors. The purpose of this study is to carry out an analysis in order to identify the socioeconomic and health elements related to the interruption of breastfeeding. This analysis will be carried out on mothers hospitalized in the rooming-in service of the Huánuco hospital in 2023. The applied study has a quantitative approach and a non-experimental/correlational design. The population will be made up of 240 mothers and the probability sample will be made up of 148 mothers. The survey will be used to apply a validated and reliable questionnaire to evaluate the socioeconomic and well-being elements that impact the renunciation of breastfeeding. The information collected will be transformed and organized in an Excel spreadsheet, and then processed in SPSS software (version 25.0). In addition, the assumptions raised will be tested through the Linear Regression Model to determine the percentage of influence between the investigated variables.
