Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-01-13) Torres Perez, Bertha; Mori Castro, Jaime AlbertoObjective: Analyze how the level of knowledge of iron deficiency anemia is related to preventive practices in pregnant adolescents who attend the El Porvenir Maternal and Child Health Center in Lima, 2022. Method, hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, descriptive design , cross-sectional, and correlational; population and sample of 70 pregnant adolescents; As a technique, surveys and instruments were two validated questionnaires. Results, the first variable level of knowledge of iron deficiency anemia 51.4% medium, 28.6% high and 20% low; according to dimensions basic concepts 50% medium, 27.1% low and 22.9% high, and prevention measures 48.6% medium, 32.8% high and 18.6% low; the second variable preventive practices in pregnant adolescents 51.4% regular, 25.7% good and 22.9% bad; according to practical dimensions of nutrition 54.3% regular, 24.3% good and 21.4% bad, and consumption of supplements 51.4% regular, 27.2% good and 21.4% bad. Conclusions, there is a statistically significant relationship between the level of knowledge of iron deficiency anemia and preventive practices in pregnant adolescents, according to the Spearman Correlation Test (p-value = 0.016) and (Rho = 0.711), therefore, it indicates a degree of direct moderate relationship between the variables.
