Publicación Acceso abierto Hábitos alimentarios y anemia en niños menores de 3 años durante pandemia del C.S. San José de Lourdes 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-31) Torres Saavedra, Grace Virginia; Caycho Valencia, Félix AlbertoThe general objective of this study was to identify the relationship between dietary habits and anemia in children under 3 years of age during the pandemic in the district of San José de Lourdes, Cajamarca-Peru. The study approach was quantitative, basic, correlational, nonexperimental and cross-sectional. The survey technique was used, and the questionnaire was applied to 170 children under 3 years of age who periodically attended the Health for control of growth and development. A positive relationship was found between the variable eating habits and anemia, a relationship that is significant at 1% of significance, whose strength of association is small. In addition, the results show that there is a significant relationship between the dimension, proportion of food and frequency of food consumption with the variable anemia, a relationship that is also significant at 1%. However, in the dimension, food classification and anemia the relationship was not significant. Eating habits are related to anemia in children under 3 years of age in the district of San José de Lourdes, therefore, these findings allow us to discuss the importance of mothers adopting good eating habits, taking into account their context to prevent anemia. Likewise, the results present relevant evidence for the implementation of programs focused on the prevention of anemia.
