The critical work was conducted using the Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology. Various databases such as SCIELO, PUBMED, SCIENCE DIRECT, and SCOPUS were explored, resulting in 58 research articles, of which 20 were selected for analysis using the CASPE checklist. The systematic review and meta-analysis titled “Metabolic syndrome is a risk factor for breast cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis” was chosen, which has an evidence level of A I and a Strong Recommendation grade, according to the researcher’s evaluation. The academic work concluded that there is a close relationship between metabolic syndrome and breast cancer, but further research is needed to identify the main parameters of this relationship.
