Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and attitudes of nursing staff regarding the prevention of pressure injuries in the emergency area of the San Juan de Lurigancho hospital, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-19) Tovar Taipe, Wilder Alexander; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoThe objective of this study was to "determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards the prevention of pressure injuries in nursing professionals in the emergency area of the Hospital de San Juan de Lurigancho, 2023". The methodology highlighted an applied study, hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative approach, non-experimental design; with a sample composed of 87 nursing professionals from the emergency area of the Hospital de San Juan de Lurigancho, 2023. For data collection, the Pressure Injury Prevention Knowledge Questionnaire (CPLPP-31) and the Attitude towards Pressure Injury Prevention Questionnaire (APuP), both validated and adapted to Peru by María López, Laura Parra, Inés Comino and Pedro Pancorbo, were used. The results showed that 48.28% had a medium level of knowledge about injuries, 28.74% had low knowledge and only 22.99% had a high level of knowledge. In terms of attitude, 65.52% showed a positive attitude and 34.48% showed a negative attitude. A correlation coefficient of 0.617** with a bilateral significance level of 0.000 was also found, that is, there is a moderate and significant correlation. It was concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes in nursing personnel regarding the prevention of pressure injuries (rho= 0.617; p=0.000).
