Ítem Acceso abierto Quality of nursing care and patient family satisfaction in the intensive care unit of a hospital, Lima - 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-01) Tupac Yupanqui Espinoza, Diana Carolina; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioIntroduction: The present research study focuses on the quality care attributed to the nurse in an intensive care unit; whose effects of the care provided by the professional in charge are perceived by the immediate family member, as adequate or inadequate for the hospitalized patient. Objective: To determine the relationship between the quality of nursing care and the patient's family satisfaction in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital. Methodology: The research has a hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, applied, nonexperimental design, correlational and cross-sectional method. The population consisted of 200 family members of the intensive care unit. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were used for the selection of the family members; some of them were that the family member should have 3 days of continuous attendance and be older than 18 years of age. The sample was obtained by simple random probability sampling of proportions for finite population, where 49 relatives of patients admitted to the ICU were obtained. The necessary information was obtained from them. Two instruments validated in Peru and that present reliability will be used, one of them is the Servqual that measures the quality of nursing care and the other is the PSQ - 18 that measures family satisfaction. The data will be analyzed using an SPSS program to obtain the results, which will be arranged in tables and graphs. Finally, the discussions, conclusions and limitations that led to carry out the work will be elaborated.
