Ítem Acceso abierto Anxiety and depression in patients with renal diseases at the Vida Renal Dialysis Center in San Juan de Miraflores, Lima-2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-29) Salazar Vasquez, Rosa Evelin; Urbano Katayama, Víctor ManuelThis research aimed to determine the relationship between anxiety and depression in patients with kidney diseases at the Vida Renal dialysis center in San Juan de Miraflores. A non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional design was used. The sample consisted of 52 patients with kidney diseases, 59.6% men and 40.4% women, ranging in age from 24 to 99 years. The Zung Anxiety Scale and Zung Depression Scale were administered. The results revealed that anxiety was significantly correlated (p<0.01) with depression in a moderate positive manner (rho=0.55). Thus, if patients develop higher levels of anxiety, their depression levels will increase.Ítem Acceso abierto Gender violence and emotional dependence in mothers from the district of San Juan de Miraflores, Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-27) Merino Espada, Patricia Hellen; Urbano Katayama, Víctor ManuelThis research aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between gender-based violence and emotional dependency in a group of mothers from the district of San Juan de Miraflores, Lima, 2022. The study was quantitative in nature, with a non-experimental design, cross-sectional approach, and non-probabilistic sampling. The sample consisted of 112 mothers aged between 25 and 65 years, whose children were attending secondary school at a public institution. The instruments used were: The Gender-Based Violence Type and Phase Evaluation Scale (EETFVG) created by Jara and Romero (2010) and the Emotional Dependency Inventory (IDE) created and adapted by Ayquipa (2015). The study results showed a statistically significant direct correlation between the mentioned variables (Rho = .309**; p < .001), meaning that victims of gender-based violence also exhibit patterns of emotional dependency behavior.Ítem Acceso abierto Psychosocial risk factors and mobbing in the healthcare staff of a health center in the Rimac district, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-10-28) Rojas Talavera, Reyna Giannina; Urbano Katayama, Víctor ManuelThe research aimed to understand the relationship between psychosocial risk factors and mobbing in the healthcare staff at a health center in the Rímac district, Lima, 2021. It followed a quantitative approach, applied research with an experimental design and a single measurement, and a correlational scope. A sample of 213 people working at the center was evaluated using the CoPsoQistas21 and the LIPT-60. The results indicated that all psychosocial risk factors were significantly correlated (p < .05), directly (rho > 0), with the strongest association in the dimension "Control over work," which had a large effect size (rho > .5); the second strongest association was found in "Social support and quality of leadership," with a medium effect size (.3 < rho < .5); in all other cases, the effect size was small (.1 < rho < .3). It was concluded that healthcare staff who lack autonomy in their work and feel constantly evaluated and judged are more likely to be victims of workplace bullying. Similarly, those who do not receive support from their supervisors or colleagues in matters such as consultations or feedback also show greater tendencies toward bullying.Ítem Acceso abierto Satisfaction with family life and childhood maladaptive perfectionism in students of a private educational institution in Lima Este, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-03) Palomares Rodríguez, Solange Stefani; Urbano Katayama, Víctor ManuelThe aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the variables of satisfaction with family life and maladaptive child perfectionism in schoolchildren from a private educational institution in East Lima. This research was quantitative, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design, as statistics were applied to quantify results and test the relationship between the variables, with instruments applied at a single point in time. The sample consisted of 90 students of both sexes, aged between 11 and 12 years, enrolled in “Capitán Alipio Ponce Vásquez” school. The technique used was a survey, with the evaluation instruments being the Child Perfectionism Scale (EPI) and the Satisfaction with Family Life Scale (SWFLS). After applying the instruments, the results showed a medium level (55.6%) of family life satisfaction, with a trend toward high levels (36.7%) and low levels (7.8%). Similarly, the predominant level of maladaptive child perfectionism was medium (72.2%), with a trend toward high levels (21.1%) and low levels (6.7%), as reported by the students. Finally, a significant inverse correlation (p < 0.05) of low degree (rho = -0.296) was established between satisfaction with family life and maladaptive child perfectionism, meaning that as satisfaction increases, maladaptive perfectionism decreases.
