    The present study is of great importance because gestational diabetes currently constitutes one of the metabolic alterations that occurs most frequently in pregnancy and it is important to know the clinical characteristics of this disease as well as the factors that predispose them. In this way, this pathology can be addressed from a preventive approach in primary care and treatment by a doctor specializing in endocrinology, all with the aim of reducing morbidity and mortality due to gestational diabetes.
