Ítem Acceso abierto Self-care and its relationship adherence to treatment in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Los Libertadores health center, San Martín de Porres 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-02-10) Urquizo Lozano, María Del Pilar; Uturunco Vera, Milagros LizbethObjective: To determine the relationship between self-care and adherence to treatment in patients with DM2 in CS Los Libertadores, SMP 2022. Materials and methods: quantitative approach, non-experimental design, descriptive and correlational level. The method used was hypothetical deductive. The population consisted of 82 patients with DM2 in CS Los Libertadores. The sample was census. The type of test was non-probabilistic, intentional. Results: 56%(n=46) were female, while 44%(n=36) were male. The mean age was 64.16 years. 50% (n=41) were cohabiting, 24% (n=20) married. 53.6% (n=44) had completed secondary, 17% (n=14) completed higher technique, 78% (n=64) had adequate self-care, while 22% (n=18) inadequate. 54.9% (n=45) were adherent to treatment, while 45.1% (n=37) were not adherent. A Chi-square value of 4.232 was obtained, which corresponds to a value p=0.038 which is less than 0.05, therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected and it is concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between self-care and adherence to treatment in patients with DM2. Conclusions: there is a significant relationship between self-care and adherence to treatment in patients with DM2 in CS Los Libertadores, SMP 2022.
