Three different formulations were prepared with varying concentrations of chocolate and iron. The third formulation had the best acceptability. It was demonstrated that a novel product can be offered, which, in addition to providing energy, is a nutritious snack that provides iron and can cover a significant percentage of the daily requirement of this essential mineral.
