Publicación Acceso abierto Efecto antibacteriano del gel de extracto de Rollinia mucosa (Jacq.) Baill “anona” frente a cepas de colección americana de cultivos(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-12) Fetta More, Karla Solange; Vásquez Carrero, Luz Natali; Collanque Pinto, Jesús DanielResearch was conducted on the species Rollinia mucosa (Jacq.) Baill “anona,” cultivated in the department of Junín. Objective: To determine the antibacterial effect of the ethanolic extract gel from the leaves of Rollinia mucosa (Jacq.) Baill “anona” against American type culture collection strains. Method: The antibacterial effect was evaluated on strains of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 9027, and Escherichia coli ATCC 8739 using the Kirby-Bauer method, which measures the diameter of inhibition zones. The strains were cultured on Mueller-Hinton agar plates, and discs impregnated with different concentrations of gels based on the ethanolic extract of the leaves of Rollinia mucosa (Jacq.) Baill “anona” at 0.50%, 0.25%, and 0.15% were applied. The inhibition zones were measured using a measuring instrument. Results: Antibacterial effects were observed at concentrations of 0.50%, 0.25%, and 0.15%, with the highest effect at 0.50% concentration against Staphylococcus aureus (46.67%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (36.67%), and Escherichia coli (30.67%). Conclusion: The gel based on the ethanolic extract of the leaves of Rollinia mucosa (Jacq.) Baill “anona” demonstrated antibacterial effects at a concentration of 0.50%.
