Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge about steam autoclave sterilization and practice of the nursing professional at the sterilization center of a MINSA Lambayeque Hospital 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-18) Vásquez Herrera, Amelia; Morillo Acasio, Berlina del RosarioThe objective of this research is to determine how the level of knowledge about steam autoclave sterilization is related to the practice of nursing professionals in the Central Sterilization Unit of a Hospital of MINSA Lambayeque 2024. Methodological design: The type of research is applied with a hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational design. Population: the sample will be a census, with the participation of a population of 15 nursing graduates who work in the Central Sterilization Center, who meet the requirements of inclusion and exclusion selection. Instruments: to evaluate the first variable: level of knowledge about autoclave steam sterilization, a survey will be used, whose instrument is the questionnaire, which consists of 4 response alternatives, considering 36 knowledge questions corresponding to the steam autoclave sterilization process; to measure the second variable: level of knowledge about autoclave steam sterilization: To measure the second variable: steam autoclave sterilization practice, the checklist consisting of 24 items will be applied, assigning 01 point when "does it" and 0 when "does not do it"; both instruments were validated by 6 and 4 experts respectively, obtaining high reliability, presenting a Cronbach alpha of 0. 89 y 0.91. Data processing and analysis: will be carried out electronically, in an Excel database, and later with the SPSS 26 program, where non-parametric inferential statistics will be used. Pearson and Sperman's Rho will be used to measure the correlation and degree of significance of the variables.
