Objective: This study aims to demonstrate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect of the ethanolic extract from the peel of Inga feuillei DC, 'pacay,' in mice. Methods: To evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect, 42 rats were divided into 7 groups of 6, and the subplantar edema method described by Winter was used. To evaluate the analgesic effect, 42 mice were divided into 7 groups of 6, and the Koster et al. method was used. Results: The ethanolic extract from the 'pacay' peel showed its greatest analgesic effect at a concentration of 300 mg/kg (87.7%), surpassing the standards of Paracetamol 500 mg/kg (42.8%) and tramadol (86.4%). The greatest anti-inflammatory effect was at a concentration of 500 mg/kg (42.8%), an effect comparable to the standards of Ibuprofen 400 mg/kg and Dexamethasone 4mg/kg. Conclusion: The analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of the ethanolic extract from the peel of Inga feuillei DC were demonstrated in mice.
