Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practices on biosafety measures of the nursing professional in the surgical center area, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-09-25) Valdivia Mendoza, Nelly Mayra; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MariaThe objective of the research is to 'Determine the relationship between knowledge and practices regarding biosafety measures among nursing professionals.' The population consists of 200 nursing professionals working at Hospital Alberto Sabogal – Callao, from which a sample of 100 nurses from the surgical center was selected. Probability sampling will be used for convenience. The methodological design is applied, using a hypothetical-deductive, observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional method. The design to be used will be correlational. To assess the variable 'knowledge of biosafety measures,' the questionnaire modified by Acevedo in 2020, with a reliability of 0.88 according to Cronbach’s Alpha, will be applied. For the variable 'practices regarding biosafety,' a checklist modified by Vivanco in 2019 will be used to measure biosafety practices, achieving a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.804. Data collection will be done through a survey. Data analysis will be carried out using descriptive statistics to present the results, and the hypothesis will be tested using Spearman's Rho test.
