Ítem Acceso abierto Work stress and self-efficacy for coping with stress in health personnel of a state hospital in Metropolitan Lima, intimes of the COVID-19 pandemic, year 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-27) Valencia Huangal, Amelia; Valencia Pecho, Diego IsmaelThe purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between work stress and self-efficacy for coping with stress among healthcare professionals in Metropolitan Lima. A total of 122 healthcare professionals from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit were surveyed. The study was basic, with a quantitative approach, correlational scope, and non-experimental design. The stress measurement tools used were the ILO-OMS Work Stress Scale and the Self-Efficacy for Coping with Stress Scale (EAEAE). Results showed that 48.4% (59) had medium self-efficacy in coping with stress, while 50.8% (62) had regular work stress levels. A moderate direct correlation was found between work stress and self-efficacy (rs = 0.238; sig = 0.008).
