Ítem Acceso abierto Work stress and its relationship with burnout syndrome in nurses working in the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins hospital intensive care department(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-02-11) Páucar Valenzuela, Sonia Nancy; Valladolid Barra de Vicente, Jacqueline; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: to determine the relationship between work stress and Burnout Syndrome in nurses working in the Intensive Care Unit of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital. Methodology: the research is quantitative, basic, with a descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 70 nurses. The instruments used were the Test to measure work stress and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Results: it was found that there is a high positive correlation (rho = .846) and significant (p = 0.000 < 0.05) between the variables work stress and Burnout Syndrome. Conclusions: the results allowed to reject the null hypothesis and accept the general hypothesis, concluding that there is a positive and significant relationship between work stress and Burnout Syndrome in nurses working in the Intensive Care Unit of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital.
