Publicación Acceso abierto Factores relacionados y adherencia al tratamiento en personas con tuberculosis en centros de salud. Lima centro. 2025(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-11-26) Leon Baldeon, Jackeline Daniela; Vallejos Diaz, Greisy Vanessa; Guadalupe Sifuentes de Posadas, Luz FabiolaThis study, entitled “Related Factors and Treatment Adherence in People with Tuberculosis at Health Centers, Lima Centro, 2025,” determined the connection between associated variables and treatment adherence in tuberculosis patients. Tuberculosis remains one of the most significant infectious diseases worldwide and nationally, and its control depends largely on patient adherence to treatment. The study employed a hypothetico-deductive methodology, a quantitative approach, and a cross sectional, correlational, and non-experimental design. The population consisted of 120 individuals. No sampling was applied due to the small population size. The data was collected through a survey using the Martin-Bayarre-Grau (MBG) questionnaire and the questionnaire on factors related to treatment adherence. The reliability of these instruments was established using the Kuder Richardson coefficient (KR-20). This coefficient was chosen due to the dichotomous qualitative nature of the items. The results yielded a KR-20 value of 0.738 for the related factors and 0.944 for treatment adherence; therefore, the instrument was considered reliable. It is concluded that strengthening communication between patients and healthcare personnel, ensuring the continuous availability of medications, and promoting therapeutic support are essential actions to improve treatment adherence and reduce tuberculosis complications. The findings of this research will serve as a basis for future strategies to optimize the care and control of the disease within the Peruvian healthcare system. Keywords: Factors, tuberculosis, adherence, and disease.
