Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practices on anemia prevention in mothers of children under 3 years old, who attend growth and development control at a hospital in Huaraz, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-21) Valverde Cueva, Flor de María; Camarena Chamaya, Luis MiguelAnemia is defined as a decrease in the amount of hemoglobin in the blood, resulting in a reduced ability to transport oxygen to the body's tissues. In the case of young children, it can negatively affect their growth, brain development, and resistance to infections. Objective: Determine the relationship that exists between knowledge and practices on anemia prevention in mothers of children under three years of age. Method and materials: the research have a quantitative, applied, transversal-non-experimental, descriptive and correlational approach. The sample will be eighty mothers of children under three years of age who attend growth and development monitoring. To measure the two variables, interviews will be used to collect data and the instruments will be questionnaires that will allow us to measure the knowledge and practices of the mothers, both instruments were validated in 2020, the data collected will be entered into a data matrix developed and structured in the SPSS program version vs 27, which will be presented in tables and graphs for descriptive statistics, they will also favor contrasting the hypotheses to determine relationships. Inferential statistics if there is a relationship between the variables, therefore, the non-parametric Spearman Rho test or the parametric Pearson correlation test will be applied.
