Publicación Acceso abierto Intervención farmacéutica frente a los errores de prescripción médica detectados en la farmacia Farmasol del distrito de Barranco 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-10-04) Varas Zavaleta, Kety Mileyde; Alvarado Chávez, BrittMedication errors are a global public health problem that generates a high economic and social impact, with prescribing being the most serious type. Pharmacist interventions have been implemented to improve the quality of medication prescribing in primary healthcare, demonstrating effectiveness in solving problems. Objective: To identify the pharmacist intervention against medical prescribing errors detected at the Farmasol pharmacy in the Barranco district in 2021. Methods: This was a deductive study, with a quantitative approach, a basic research type, and a non-experimental, descriptive design. It used a simple random probabilistic sampling method based on the evaluation of 155 medical prescriptions. Results: Incomplete prescriber data on prescriptions was 10.6%. Incomplete medication and diagnosis data were 38.1%, and 24.1% of prescriptions had illegible handwriting. Regarding intervention on medication quantity, it was applied 32.9% of the time. Likewise, intervention on pharmacological strategies was applied 37.4% of the time, while intervention in patient education was applied 91.4% of the time. Conclusion: It was identified that pharmacist intervention was not significantly related to medical prescribing errors detected at the Farmasol pharmacy in 2021.
