The study was descriptive in type, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, using a deductive method and a quantitative approach. The population and sample consisted of 124 reports of suspected adverse incidents related to medical devices between 2018 and 2022. The data collection technique was documentary analysis, using a data collection form specifically designed for this research. Results: No severe adverse events were reported; 96.8% of the adverse events notified were mild, and 0.8% were moderate. Furthermore, 90.3% of adverse events occurred during the use of the medical device, and in 44.4% of cases, the probable cause was poor device quality. The main consequence of adverse events was device loss, which occurred in 72.6% of cases. Conclusion: At the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, between 2018 and 2022, most adverse events related to medical devices occurred in patients during device use, had mild consequences, and were likely attributable to poor device quality.
