Ítem Acceso abierto Obstructive sleep apnea and burnout syndrome in graduate medical and nursing technologists at the regional hospital of Cusco(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-17) Vasquez Lopez, Armando Jhonny; Chero Pisfil, Santos LucioObstructive sleep apnea syndrome is a common clinical condition when the throat narrows or collapses during sleep. A study conducted at the University of Cantabria suggests that due to high psychological demands in the workplace, individuals experiencing burnout syndrome suffer a decline in daily activities. In recent decades, doctors have studied this syndrome and concluded that the stress levels they experience are high enough to develop burnout syndrome. Both physical and mental health are impacted by work-related stress, with the main consequences being burnout syndrome. The aim is to raise awareness among healthcare workers, especially medical technologists and nurses at the Cusco Regional Hospital, about the problems that could arise from the relationship between obstructive sleep apnea and burnout syndrome. The current situation has reduced rest intervals, increasing stress, fatigue, and exhaustion due to the demanding work of daily life. This will deepen knowledge in the variables of this research project, as well as the role of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy in prevention and assistance, considering obstructive sleep apnea and its effects in relation to burnout syndrome.
