Quality of nursing care and patient satisfaction in the mental health and addictions hospitalization unit of the nuevo Chimbote 2024 regional hospital

Objective: To determine how the quality of nursing care relates to patient satisfaction in the mental health and addictions hospitalization unit of the Regional Hospital of Nuevo Chimbote, 2024. Methodology and Method: The research follows the hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach, descriptive and applied level, using a non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The population will consist of 80 patients hospitalized in the mental health and addictions unit based on inclusion criteria. The entire population will be considered as a census sample due to its finite nature. The instruments to be used are two Likert-scale questionnaires: the first to evaluate the quality of nursing care and the second to assess patient satisfaction. Both have been validated by expert judgment and demonstrate high reliability. Prior authorization and informed consent from participants will be obtained. The results will be collected, processed, coded, and entered into an Excel database. They will be tabulated and processed using the SPSS statistical software package, version 24.
