    Quality of life is defined as the perception that an individual has according to their life situation, since, in the context of their culture and value systems, in relation to their objectives, expectations, standards and concerns. Aim. To determine the quality of life in the adult hypertensive patient who attends the cardiology clinics of a health institution. Materials and methods. The research level is the health area, with a type of quantitative approach, with a cross-sectional descriptive study methodological design; It will be made up of 80 patients who attend cardiology clinics and who meet the inclusion criteria. The SF-36 questionnaire with a Spanish translation will be used to determine the “quality of life” variable. The SF-36 questionnaire is an instrument that measures the degree of quality of life according to the impression of the subject evaluated.
