    In this research, a proposal for neurolinguistic programming (NLP) in an academic environment was presented, based on learning styles of the VAK model (visual, auditory, kinesthetic). The proposal identifies the predominant sensory channel of learning in each student, to restructure the didactic teaching strategies according to their learning style, with the purpose of promoting the voluntary attention of boys and girls at school. The objective of this work is to determine the influence of the neurolinguistic programming proposal linked to learning styles in voluntary attention in transitional students, Buenaventura - Colombia, 2019. It is a quantitative study, under the hypothetical deductive method, with an explanatory research level. , experimental design with a quasi-experimental longitudinal sub-design, applied to a sample of 425 students divided into an experimental group with (196) and a control group (229 students). For data collection, two techniques were used, the opinion survey applied to teachers and the neurolinguistic programming test applied to students, which were validated by expert judgment and Aiken's V coefficient; their reliability was determined with the Richardson test, obtaining a result of 0.82 (test) and 0.81 (survey). The test was applied before and after the implementation of the proposal. KolmogorovSmirnov was used to define the normality of the population, and the U MannWhitney test was performed in the hypothesis testing, contrasting the results of both groups: For the general hypothesis, a significance of 0.000 was obtained, verifying that the neurolinguistic programming linked to learning styles has a very significant influence on the voluntary attention of transitional students, Buenaventura, Colombia; Along with this, the efficiency of the proposal was evidenced in the different dimensions: Aesthetic (0.000), communicative (0.044), ethical (0.044) and corporal (0.001), but not in the cognitive dimension (0.517). The predominant learning style in this population is kinesthetic with 40%.
