    Aim. Determine hospital anxiety and depression in relatives of patients admitted to the intensive care unit of the Apoyo Rezola Cañete hospital, 2020. Materials and methods. This research work is quantitative, descriptive with methodological design and cross section. Population, sample and sampling: There will be a finite population made up of 60 families of patients admitted to the ICU of the Rezola Cañete Support Hospital, 2020. All families that participate will be selected according to the exclusion and inclusion criteria given in this document. investigation. Study variable: This work presents a main variable that is depression and hospital anxiety. Given its nature, it belongs to the qualitative variable, which will be analyzed using the ordinal scale. Justification: The care provided by the nursing professional to patients with depression and anxiety is important to avoid complications, which is why the topic addressed in our study is one of necessity and is justified by its social relevance. The research work will be carried out applying to families of patients who are hospitalized in the intensive care unit to improve the quality of care and provide emotional support to the family.
