Material and Methods: Systematic retrospective and observational review of a quantitative type, subject to an analytical compilation, using the Grade evaluation system to establish the level of evidence, located in the subsequent database: PubMed, Scielo, Dialnet, Elsevier and Epistemonikos. In the 10 articles selected and systematically reviewed, 80% were of high quality and 20% of moderate quality as described below: 40% (n= 4/10) are systematic reviews, 40% (n= 4/10) They are randomized controlled trials and 20% (n= 2/10) are quasi-experimental. According to the results acquired from the systematic review carried out in this research, the following countries correspond to Brazil (20%), followed by England (10%), Spain (10%), the United States (10%), Italy ( 10%), Sweden (10%), Thailand (10%), Chile (10%) and Colombia (10)%. Results: In this way, of the evidence found, 90% (n=9/10) indicate that physical exercise is effective in improving balance in older adults and 10% (n=1/10) indicate that exercise physical exercise is not effective in improving balance in older adults. Conclusion: Physical exercise is effective in improving balance in older adults.
