    Relationship between physical performance and quality of life in elderly adults attending the Inter-American Center of Physiotherapy Fisio Express Chosica, 2022

    Various biological and psychological changes can generate problems in physical performance in this population, thereby decreasing their quality of life and making them dependent on their families. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to take preventive measures.Objective: To determine the relationship between physical performance and quality of life in older adults attending the Inter-American Physical Therapy Center 'Fisio Express' in Chosica, 2022. Materials and Methods: 100 older adults attending the 'Fisio Express' Inter-American Physical Therapy Center participated in the study. They were evaluated using two instruments: the Senior Fitness Test and the WHOQOL-BREF quality of life questionnaire. The hypothetical-deductive method was used, as it is a descriptive, relational, and cross-sectional study design.Results: There is no relationship between physical performance and the dimensions of quality of life. 57.5% of the older adults have mild physical performance limitations, and 96.3% of them report a medium quality of life.Conclusions: No relationship was found between physical performance and quality of life. The older adults have mild limitations and report a medium quality of life.
