Ítem Acceso abierto Revisión crítica: efecto de la suplementación con probióticos en pacientes con enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-29) Vergara Rosales, Betsabe Adalia; Palma Gutiérrez, Edgardo JhoffireIt is hypothesized that probiotic supplementation could improve adverse symptoms associated with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis). The present secondary research entitled Critical Review: “Effect of probiotic supplementation in patients with inflammatory bowel disease”, aimed to analyze the effect of probiotic supplementation in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. The clinical question was, does probiotic supplementation improve the clinical picture of inflammatory bowel disease? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in Medline, Scielo and Science Direct, finding 65 articles, being selected 7 that have been evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the meta-analysis titled Efficacy and safety of probiotics in the induction and maintenance of inflammatory bowl. disease remission: a systematic review and meta-analysis, which has a level of evidence AI and Grade of Strong Recommendation, according to the expertise of the researcher. The critical comment allows us to conclude that supplementation with probiotics, which contain strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium in doses greater than 2 -3 x 1010 CFU/day, contributes to the state of remission of inflammatory bowel disease, through the reduction of the proinflammatory state.
