Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-21) García Cóndor, Cristina; Victorio Luque, Jackeline Estefani; Justil Guerrero, Hugo JesúsA study is proposed with the objective of evaluating the relationship between the level of knowledge and the use of Levonorgestrel among young women aged 17 to 25 in pharmaceutical establishments in the district of San Juan de Miraflores, 2022. Methodology: The methodological aspect was based on a descriptive type of research, basic in purpose, correlational in level, with a cross-sectional – descriptive scope, quantitative in nature, and representing a non-experimental design. The population and sample considered correspond to women aged 17 to 25 who purchase medications in pharmaceutical establishments in the district of San Juan de Miraflores. Results: The results indicate that the level of knowledge possessed by young women is not significantly related to the use of Levonorgestrel (p = 0.080 > 0.05). In other words, women consume this medication for reasons other than their own knowledge. Conclusion: The study concludes that the level of knowledge about Levonorgestrel possessed by young women aged 17 to 25 in pharmaceutical establishments in the district of San Juan de Miraflores is not significantly related to its use (p = 0.080). In general terms, the use of Levonorgestrel is indifferent to the knowledge that young women may have about this drug.
