    Effectiveness of music therapy in promoting weight gain in premature newborns

    Of the 10 articles reviewed, it is shown that the use of music therapy to promote weight gain in preterm neonates is effective. It is concluded that, of the 10 scientific articles reviewed in the neonatal unit, care should be comprehensive. Advances in care and management with music therapy to promote weight gain in preterm neonates are effective, as they improve pain and stress reduction, decrease energy expenditure, enhance feeding, regulate physiological levels, reduce heart rate and respiratory rate, improve resting energy expenditure, and increase oxygen saturation.
