For this study, the antineoplastic drugs available at the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital were considered. Methodology. A prospective descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted. Ninety-two patients diagnosed with cancer and undergoing chemotherapy who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were analyzed, of which ADRs were detected in 80 patients (87%). These cases were evaluated using the Peruvian Pharmacovigilance Algorithm. Results. The analysis was limited to the 80 patients with ADRs. Male patients presented the highest number of ADRs (70%); the age group of 56–67 years showed 45% of ADRs. The therapeutic subgroup of platinum derivatives accounted for 59% of the total ADRs identified. Nausea (31%) and vomiting (19%) were the most frequent ADRs, and the gastrointestinal system was the most affected (73%). Regarding causality, 77% of ADRs were classified as probable, requiring specific treatment. According to severity, 65% were moderate, and according to the Edwards–Aronson classification, 99% were type A.
