    Relación entre la lactancia materna y maloclusiones en niños de edad preescolar de una institución educativa, Moyobamba, 2025

    Objective: To determine the relationship between breastfeeding and malocclusions in preschool-aged children at an early childhood education institution in the city of Moyobamba, Department of San Martin, 2025. Materials and methods: This was a quantitative, applied study with a correlational scope, a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, and a hypothetical deductive method. The sample consisted of 101 children aged 3 to 5 years in preschool, along with their parents or guardians. A validated breastfeeding questionnaire for parents and a clinical record were used to collect data to assess the presence of malocclusions in the children. The information was collected in May 2025 and statistically analyzed using SPSS software. Results: The test for independence of variables showed a p value of 0.956, higher than the significance level (0.05), so the null hypothesis was not rejected. Conclusion: There is no statistically significant relationship between breastfeeding and the presence of malocclusions in the study population.
