    Factores asociados con la adherencia al tratamiento antiasmático en pacientes adultos atendidos en el Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho – Lima 2022

    The research presented in the following sections was conducted with the objective of analyzing the factors associated with adherence to asthma treatment in adult patients treated at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, Lima, 2022. The research methodology corresponded to the deductive method, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design; the survey technique was employed, using a valid and reliable questionnaire as the instrument, considering descriptive statistics and the chi-square test for data analysis in the SPSS v.26 program. The analysis results indicated socioeconomic factors, factors related to the treatment, the patient, the healthcare service and personnel, and the disease, all associated with adherence to asthma treatment in 101 adult patients at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, Lima. The factors associated with treatment adherence included: education level, treatment duration, side effects, family/friend support, knowledge of the disease, knowledge of the treatment, courteous care, clear information, and availability of effective treatment. In conclusion, out of the 17 factors analyzed across the five dimensions of the variable, 53% were associated with adherence to asthma treatment at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, Lima, 2022.
