Ítem Acceso abierto Burnout syndrome in nursing graduates of the Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, Lima - 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-10-14) Villanueva León, Mayhumi; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeThe objective of this research was to determine the level of Burnout Syndrome in nursing graduates of the Norbert Wiener Private University, Lima – 2020. Materials and Methods: The study was qualitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional, conducted on a population of 70 nursing graduates who were interviewed and surveyed using the Maslach Burnout Inventory. The collected data were entered into the SPSS database and processed using percentile tests. Results: 81.4% of the nursing graduates were female, 48.6% were between 24 to 29 years old, and 67.1% were single. Regarding the dimensions of Burnout Syndrome, in the emotional exhaustion dimension, 47.1% reported a high level, while 24.3% reported a low level; in the depersonalization dimension, 37% reported high and low levels, respectively, and 26% reported a medium level; in the personal accomplishment dimension, 10% reported a high level, 34.3% reported a medium level, and 55.7% reported a low level. Conclusions: 37.1% of the nursing graduates from Norbert Wiener Private University have a high level of Burnout Syndrome.
