Ítem Acceso abierto Professional burnout syndrome and work performance in nurses from the intensive and intermediate care service of the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren National Hospital, Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-30) Villena Enciso, Kerin Aida Lisbeth; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoIntroduction: It is no secret that health care workers, especially nurses, face a critical situation worldwide and especially in Latin America, where they must adapt to the daily changes and demands of the clinical setting that cause them high doses of chronic stress that impact their work performance. Objective: "To determine how professional burnout syndrome is related to self-perception of work performance in intensive and intermediate care nurses". Methodology: The study will have a quantitative approach of applied type with correlational scope and nonexperimental cross-sectional design that will be constituted by all the personnel working in the intensive and intermediate care service of the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren National Hospital, Lima 2023, equivalent to 75 nurses. The inclusion aspects to be considered will be relevant according to those who wish to participate in the study and answer the questionnaire, with prior informed consent and who have been working for a minimum of six months; personnel who do not wish to participate and do not have the minimum working time required for the study will be excluded, as well as those professionals who are on leave, vacation or who perform administrative tasks. To collect the results we will proceed to apply the survey technique by means of two questionnaire instruments in each variable, both have been taken from Urrunaga's work in 2018, which present validation through expert judgment and very high reliabilities of 0.881 and 0.804 Cronbach's Alpha as coefficient respectively, all this, will follow the route of the ethical aspects to then be statistically processed through tables and graphs for the descriptive analysis, as well as the inferential analysis through Spearman's Rho correlation".
