Methodology: This is a Systematic Review of 12 articles in the LILACS, SCIELO, MEDLINE, PUBMED database, whose search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to critical reading, using Jover's evaluation. to identify its level of evidence. Results: Of the total of 12 international articles, since no systematically reviewed national article was found, 100% (n=12/12) highlight the effectiveness of the Subjective Global Assessment (VGS) test as a valid tool for the nutritional diagnosis of patients. . When comparing it with other related tests, a significant difference was found between them. Conclusion: The subjective global assessment test (ESG) is effective when applied to patients with the purpose of timely detecting nutritional risks.
