    Level of knowledge and practices on breastfeeding among primiparous postpartum women in a hospital in East Lima, 2023

    The objective of this work was to determine how the level of knowledge is related to breastfeeding practices in primiparous puerperal women from a Hospital in Lima Este, 2023. Methodologically it was quantitative, non-experimental correlational, there was a sample made up of 80 primiparous puerperal women and Two questionnaires were applied. The results show that the gender was 100% female; the age range of 18 to 30 years, the marital status 77.5%, and the level of primary education, the level of knowledge was high at 70.0% and breastfeeding practices were adequate at 88.8%, statistically it was proven that the dimensions general knowledge and benefits were related to breastfeeding practices with a p.value equal to 0.000. It is concluded that the relationship between the level of knowledge and breastfeeding practices in primiparous puerperal women from a Hospital in Lima Este, 2023 is positive and very good (Spearman's Rho = 0.81), and is statistically significant with a value calculated significance of p=0.000 < 0.05.
