Ítem Acceso abierto Workload and quality of professional life of nurses in the emergency service of a hospital in Lima - 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-07) Yantas Tovalino, Kety Betzabeth; Benavente Sanchez, Yennys KatiuscaObjective: The main objective of this work will be “to determine how workload is related to the quality of professional life of nursing professionals in a hospital in Lima in 2023.” Methodology. The research will be quantitative and the hypothetical deductive method will be used, it will be applied, the design will be non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational level. The population will be made up of 80 nursing professionals who work in the emergency service. 02 instruments will be applied, the first to measure workload (CCL) authored by Hellín, which was later adapted in Peru by Santillán Rosell in 2015, which consists of 36 questions and two dimensions: mental load and physical load. The second instrument for quality of life (CVP) was appropriate and validated in several countries in English, it is known by its acronym PQL-35, it was translated into Spanish by Cabezas in 1999, and validated by Calderón in 2018, the questionnaire consists of 35 questions divided into three dimensions: managerial support, workload and intrinsic motivation, both instruments will have answers on a Likert-type ordinal scale; A descriptive and inferential statistical analysis will be carried out and processed with the SPSS 25.0 program in order to obtain quantitative data on both variables; The data will allow an overview of the level of workload to which emergency nursing personnel are exposed and how this relates to their quality of professional life.
