Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and attitudes about prevention of cervical cancer in 4th and 5th high school students of the I.E., 0025 San Martin de Porres, Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-28) Yaranga Gutiérrez, Walter; Uturunco Vera, Milagros LizbethObjective: To determine how knowledge and attitudes about cervical cancer prevention are related in 4th and 5th grade students of the I.E. 0025 San Martin de Porres, Lima 2023. Material and Method: it had a quantitative approach, descriptive type, had a population of 133 students, 2 instruments were used, for the knowledge variable it was a questionnaire designed by Katiyusca Bravo and Karen Picota, with a qualitative validity of 90% and a reliability with Cronbach's Alpha of α=0.837, having 4 dimensions as dichotomous alternatives such as "if you know" and "do not know" with analysis of ranges of knowledge, medium and high. For the attitude variable, the questionnaire prepared by Carla Isla and María Solar was used, with a validation of a binomial test of p-value=0.0156<0.05 and a reliability of Cronbach's Alpha of α=0.7687, having 3 dimensions with alternative types. Likert scale and analysis of favorable and unfavorable ranges. The results: it was that 61.5% have medium knowledge, 32.3% low and 6% high, while for the attitude variable, 81.2% is favorable and 18.79% unfavorable. Likewise, in relation to both variables, it was obtained that the majority of students have medium-level knowledge and favorable attitudes (53.4%). Conclusions: it is concluded that the relationship between the variables is direct and low, that is, as the level of knowledge improves, attitudes about prevention are favourable. In addition, the value of the calculated significance is 0.000 < 0.05, this indicates that the relationship is significant between the variables.
