Ítem Acceso abierto Coping strategies and quality of life in oncology patients at the national institute of neoplastic diseases, Lima - 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-23) Yarasca Alvarado, Stephannie Yessenia; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MariaObjective: To determine the relationship between coping strategies and quality of life in oncology patients at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN), Lima, 2024. Every patient attending INEN undergoes various procedures that cause psycho-emotional imbalances, making it essential for healthcare personnel to provide the coping strategies required by patients to achieve a good quality of life. Population: Composed of 80 cancer-diagnosed patients at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, from January to March 2024. Sample: The sample will include the entire population, i.e., 80 individuals. Methodological Design: Applied research, hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, non-experimental or observational. The technique for data collection will be a survey. Instruments: For the evaluation of the variable "Coping Strategies," a questionnaire developed by Apaza and Alejandro in 2020 in Lima will be used, with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability score of 0.872. For the evaluation of the variable "Quality of Life," a questionnaire adapted by Martínez in 2016 in Lima will be used, with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability score of 0.835. Data Processing and Analysis: Data will be processed using the SPSS statistical software package. Results will be presented in tables and figures according to the variable and its dimensions.
