Material and Methods: The design that has been used in the development of this work has been the systematic review, which is based on the GRADE evaluation system, which allows to evaluate the quality of the evidence of the articles selected from the following databases: PubMed, Cochrane, EBSCO, ScientDirect, Scopus and Epistemonikos. Results: The reviewed articles showed that: 30% are randomized controlled trials, 30% are educational intervention - quasi-experimental, 10% are randomized clinical trials, 10% are randomized trials, 10% are prospective longitudinal cohort study and 10% are qualitative studies. On the other hand, 100% of the articles found evidence of the effectiveness of training or educational interventions by nurses for mothers of newborn or premature babies to promote skin-to-skin contact. Conclusion: It was concluded that the application of educational or training strategies by nurses to mothers of newborn or premature babies is effective in promoting skin-to-skin care and that educational strategies directed at nurses allow them to optimize their work of guiding and training mothers.
