Nivel de conocimiento sobre efectos adversos de AINE en trabajadores de salud de farmacias y boticas del distrito de San Martín de Porres Lima – Perú, 2022

The objective of this study was to analyze the level of knowledge about the adverse effects of NSAIDs among healthcare workers in pharmacies and drugstores in the district of San Martín de Porres, Lima, Peru, 2022. An applied, observational, cross-sectional, and non-experimental study was conducted with 259 healthcare workers. Results: Regarding the level of knowledge about the adverse effects of NSAIDs based on daily frequency, it was "high" in 10.4%, "medium" in 24.3%, and "low" in 65.3%. In the Dose dimension, knowledge was "high" in 69.5%, "medium" in 24.7%, and "low" in 5.8%. Regarding Mode of Administration, knowledge was "high" in 69.9% and "low" in 30.1%. For Systemic Reactions, knowledge was "high" in 50.2%, "medium" in 38.2%, and "low" in 11.6%. Regarding Drug Interactions, knowledge was "high" in 18.5%, "medium" in 42.1%, and "low" in 39.4%. Finally, by gender, knowledge levels for males were "high" in 17.9%, "medium" in 64.3%, and "low" in 17.9%. For females, knowledge was "high" in 13.7%, "medium" in 72.6%, and "low" in 13.7%. Regarding education level, secondary education had a "medium" knowledge level at 100%, technical education had "high" at 27.8%, "medium" at 57%, and "low" at 15.2%. Higher education showed "high" at 10.7%, "medium" at 72.3%, and "low" at 17%. Conclusion: Healthcare workers demonstrated a "medium" level of knowledge about the adverse effects of NSAIDs, accounting for 69.8%.
