The objective was to determine the correlation between social media use and aggression. The study had a quantitative, descriptive, correlational, and comparative approach, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 192 students. The Social Media Addiction Questionnaire (ARS) and the Aggression Questionnaire-AQ by Buss and Perry were used. The results indicate a significant weak correlation between social media use and aggression (Rho = 0.242). According to gender, no differences were found in overall social media use or excessive use, but significant differences were found in obsession and lack of control in favor of males. It was also found that, in general, and across dimensions, no significant differences were found between social media use and age grouping.
