    This research will be carried out around the work carried out by nursing staff within the field of neonatal intensive care and is aimed at collecting information that allows decisions to be made aimed at optimizing nursing knowledge and practice to manage the pain of newborns who are cared for within the intensive care unit of the Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz Hospital, whose objective is to determine the relationship between knowledge and nursing practice for pain management in neonates at the Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz Hospital, 2022, using materials and methods that will follow the quantitative approach, non-experimental - cross-sectional design, descriptive scope. The sample will be made up of 40 nurses. The technique will be the survey and the instruments that will be used are the questionnaire and the checklist.
