Ítem Acceso abierto Trunk control and its relationship with hand function in post-cerebrovascular accident patients at a private center, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-05-25) Zambrano Medina, Diana Pamela; Puma Chombo, Jorge EloyStroke (CVA) is a pathology that can occur rapidly in an individual, being one of the most frequent health conditions affecting the global population. A stroke patient typically presents greater deficits in the upper limbs than in the lower limbs, with impairments in grip, pressure, and manual dexterity, affecting their activities of daily living (ADLs). The conclusion is that changes in upper limb functionality can be correlated with the motor level. The interest of this work is to explore the relationship between trunk control and manual function in post-stroke patients. The data obtained will help generate strategies to improve physical therapy treatment and provide better multidisciplinary management of trunk control and manual function. It will also allow the creation of workshops and talks for both health professionals and patients, contributing to future research.
