    Nurse knowledge and practice of biosafety measures in the emergency unit of a national reference hospital of EsSalud, Lima - 2024

    Biosecurity measures are a set of procedures and practices carried out to prevent the transmission of pathogenic microorganisms. Nursing staff, due to their direct contact with patients, are at a higher risk of infection. Therefore, it is essential that they know and correctly apply biosecurity measures. Objective: "To determine how the nurse's level of knowledge relates to the practice of biosecurity measures in the emergency unit of a national referral hospital of EsSalud, Lima - 2024." Methodology: The study will use the hypothetical-deductive method, a non-experimental design, a quantitative and descriptive approach, applied correlation method, and cross-sectional method. The census sample will consist of 95 nurses, and the tools used for the research will be the "Modified Knowledge Level Questionnaire" and the "Abbreviated Observation Guide." Both instruments were developed and validated by Ramírez and demonstrate good reliability. Data collection will take approximately 30 minutes for participants. Additionally, Spearman's Correlation Analysis will be used to test the hypothesis.
